DarstellerInnen Milli Bitterli, Javier de Frutos,
Suzie Heijari, Réka Szabó, Philippe Riéra, Jamie
Watton. Sounddesign Mike Casey. Lightdesign Dulci Jan,
Javier De Frutos.
'I am not working on Tennessee Williams but on how art
can sometimes affect another artist. This was the
thing I wanted to work on. I am creating a world
through the eyes of somebody who is South American,
who lives in London, who is a dancer and
choreographer, who has been reading Tennessee Williams
for a very long time, who is doing a group portrait of
six dancers...The way that I am pushing the dancers is
the way that Tennessee's world would push people - on
the sexual, on the emotional, on the physical, on the
extreme...
Set in a very distinct atmosphere, Mazatlan deals with
the impossibility of relationships in a way that
allows the spectator to feel the visual poetry in all
its truth. It is ultimately about human nature.'

Im Referat geht Isaac Julien auf seine Zusammenarbeit
mit Javier De Frutos zu der Filminstallation
The Long Road To Mazatlan , co-produziert von Art Pace
in San Antonio, Texas und Grand Arts, Kansas sowie
die Videoinstallation Three (eine Zusammenarbeit mit
den ChoreographInnen Bebe Miller und Ralph Lemon sowie
der Schauspielerin Cleo Sylvestre) ein.
